About Us

St. Botolph's Church, Heene on Lansdowne Road in Worthing is a friendly, traditional Church of England Church. The weekly Eucharist (communion) service includes  hymns, readings, a psalm, sermon, communion setting, prayers and an anthem.

We love to see families and younger people in church and there is a children's corner at the back of the church with books and drawing equipment for our younger visitors to any service.

The church has a very strong choral tradition, going back to its foundation in 1873 and continuing today through the high-standard RSCM choir.

We are also very lucky to be one of the few churches locally with a ring of 8 bells. The bells are rung before each Sunday Eucharist.

At present, St. Botolph's is without a parish priest, but services are continuing thanks to support from a number of retired priests and due to the tireless efforts of our churchwardens.

During the week the church and its adjoining church rooms (which are both available for hire) are in frequent use - with a wide range of organisations using the building. See further details on our 'Regular Events' page.
